An efficient compact UVB source for terrariums.

Lucky Reptile manufactures its compacts directly in Germany, by an accredited factory that can guarantee the parameters. So you can't be disappointed, which often happens when using competing products that are made in China.

In production, great importance is attached to the natural light spectrum , which these compacts emit, not the disproportionately high content of UVB radiation, which can harm farmed animals. We recommend installing compact bulbs in LR Thermo Socket plus Reflector reflectors. The right reflector reflects 200% more light in the desired direction. If we use a low-quality or no reflector, this light is then lost in space and unused.

It effectively emits UVB at an angle of 82° and at a distance of 30 cm from the body the intensity is 20 microW/cm2 (data measured in the Thermo Socket plus Reflector).

Compact UV Sun is almost non-warm and given that it is a UVB source, it is advisable to supplement it with a light bulb with a full color of light. We therefore particularly recommend LR Daylight Sun Compact or LR Halogen Sun.

Recommendation: as with all other sources of UVB radiation, we recommend replacing compact bulbs at the latest after one year of use to ensure optimal UVB output.
